Twice
a year, in the spring and again in the fall, after the busy times
of fulfilling mail orders, the Nursery opens for retail sales
to drop-in customers. Native plants are displayed for sale
in the Nursery.

this year at Shooting Star Nursery A wide selection of Medicinal
Plants and Culinary Herbs. Individual seed packets for organic
and heirloom vegetables, herbs, and garden flowers.
We enjoy herbs for our own use and after numerous requests
from our customers have decided to offer a nice selection
of plants for sale.
Medicinal use of plants should be administered under the supervision
of a health care practitioner.
For centuries, all cultures have found medicinal plants in
various forms to be helpful. Heirloom seeds have been proven
by the test of time. Not only for interesting historical preservation;
but also for outstanding color, scent, flavor, disease resistance,
and snappy names.
Some but not all seed packets have been certified organic
(by USDA Organic, or Certified Naturally Grown) |

Kentucky Native Plant Society
the Kentucky Native Plant Society is a non-profit
group dedicated to increasing public awareness of and appreciation
for our native flora, and promoting the wise use and coervation
of native plants.
Membership entitles you to receive the quarterly newsletter
filled with information about native plants and dozens of
field trips to outstanding natural areas. www.knps.org
