Brilliant red tubular flowers with spreading lobes in tall dense spikes. Prefers even moisture. Flood tolerant. Often bloooms first year. Outstanding when naturalized at woodland edges or along a stream. Keep basal leaves clear of mulch in mild winters to allow good air flow.
