Large, showy domed flower clusters. Narrow oval leaves. Deep tap root. Late to emerge in spring, but often flooms 1st year. Well-drained soil. High medicinal demand. Tolerates drought and clay soils.

This grows well on the south side of my house in a small prairie area. There are years when some of the plants grow smaller than other years. I loose one once in a great while, but it is a great plant with wonderful fluffy seeds and worth planting. When blooming it attracts many kinds of insects... Rating: [4 of 5 Stars]
